Tom Holland Receives Marvel Bonus Payslip Meant for Tom Holland by Mistake

British actor Tom Hollander, known for his roles in "The White Lotus" and films like "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Pride and Prejudice," shared a humorous incident where he mistakenly received a payslip intended for Spider-Man star Tom Holland. The mix-up occurred because both actors once shared the same agent.

During an appearance on the US chat show hosted by Seth Meyers, the 56-year-old actor revealed that his agency sent him an email containing a payslip with an "astonishing" sum, marked as the first installment of a box office bonus for "The Avengers," a Marvel film in which Tom Holland played Spider-Man.

As Hollander opened the email, he initially questioned, "I don't think I'm in The Avengers." To his surprise, the payslip revealed an extraordinary seven-figure sum. He clarified that it wasn't Holland's salary but the first portion of his box office bonus.

Reflecting on the mix-up, Hollander humorously stated, "And it was more money than I'd ever (seen). It was a seven-figure sum."

Despite the entertaining incident, Hollander mentioned that there have been less enjoyable moments when he was confused with the younger star, especially when meeting excited but eventually disappointed children.

"It's been very difficult. Because, you know, I was here first," he jokingly added, referencing the occasional challenges that come with sharing a name and industry with another prominent actor.
