Lanny Smoot's day job involves crafting lightsabers. Not the makeshift ones kids cobble together from flashlights and plastic tubes, but the genuine article—extendable, with penumbral edges and even laser-blocking capabilities. Think Jedi-level realism. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. Smoot has also conjured up colossal electromagnetic eyes and an omnidirectional HoloTile Floor that adjusts to your movements.
